About Us

CMS is a Web based application which helps to search the Calcutta High Court cases' daily Cause List. At first, the units will enter the case numbers of their High Court cases in the CMS application. Calcutta High Court uploaded their next day Cause List on each day after 08:00 PM. Thereafter, the entire Cause List have to be downloaded from the website of Calcutta High Court i.e. www.calcuttahighcourt.gov.in. User will select the downloaded Cause List (in PDF format), and the CMS application will match the enlisted case numbers from the PDF file (Entire Cause List) and will show their Cause List for the next day.

Few Words about Criminal Investigation Department, WB

The Indian Police Commission in 1902-03 recommended constituting Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in every province and on 21 March 1905 the Government of India accepted the proposal of the Commission. The Government issued instructions to start the department in every province by 1907. In Bengal, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) came into existence on 1st April 1906 under Mr. C.W.C. Plowden. The first head of CID after Independence was Shri H.N. Sarkar,IPJP. At present CID, West Bengal is headed by Dr. R.Rajasekaran, IPS Additional Director General of Police, CID, West Bengal.

  • WHAT IS COURT MONITORING SYSTEM(CMS)?

  • Admin will provide the default login credential to the users. Go to the site URL(www.cms.cidwb.in) and then click on the "login" button. One login form will appear, then give your "Username" & "Password" and click the "Login" button. Steps : (1)Click Login (2) Enter Email/Username (3) Enter Password (4) Click Login. User should change their default password after their first login.

  • After login to CMS, Click on “CASE OPTION” section at side-menu bar ⇒ Click on “ADD”. Now it will display a form to add a new case. Then fill-up a case and click on "Submit" button to add a case. Steps : (1) Click "CASE OPTION" (2) Click "ADD" (3) Fill-up the Case Details (4) Click "SUBMIT"

  • After login to CMS, Click on “CASE OPTION” section at side-menu bar ⇒ Click on “EDIT”. Now it will display a form to Edit a case. Then change the case and click on "Submit" button to edit a case. Steps : (1) Click "CASE OPTION" (2) Click "EDIT" (3) Change the Case details (4) Click "SUBMIT"

  • Download PDF from Calcutta High Court Website: Steps : (1) Go to "www.calcuttahighcourt.gov.in" in a browserand then download the entire cause list in pdf format from "Daily Causelist". (2) open a Browser (3) Enter www.calcuttahighcourt.gov.in (4) Click "Cause List" (5) Click "Appellate Side" (6) Click "Calcutta" (7) Click "APPELLATE SIDE DAILY LIST" (8) Click "Submit" (9) Select "Date" (10) Click "ENTIRE LIST" (11) Then Download the PDF. Upload the PDF to CMS: Steps : (1) Go to www.cms.cidwb.in (if Logged in) (2) Click on "PDF Upload" (3) Click on "Choose File" (4) Select the downloaded PDF from Calcutta Highcourt website (5) Click on "Submit". It will search cases and generate the list of causelist.
